How to File a Complaint for Code Violations
The Department of Planning and Permitting provides pub=
lic services
to file complaints for possible permit and construction code violations.
Submit complaints to the Office of Information and Complaints (OIC) via the “Have a Problem to Report” link: http://www.honolul= u.gov/csd/publiccom/fixit.htm. Use the On-line form, by clicking = on the Problem Report link, to submit a complaint directly to OIC. By submitting the complaint direct= ly to OIC, they will route your complaint to the proper agency and it will be tra= cked by the City until resolved. T= his is the recommended procedure for filing a complaint. The web page also provides email addresses and phone numbers to call to report specific problem types to the City.
Complaints on Sidewalk cracks or uplifts can be report= ed directly to the Housing Code Section at 768-8159.
