| Permit Applications for New Building permits only. |
Effective Aug 15, 2010, a digital site plan will be required for all building permits for new buildings. Files must meet the plan requirements and may be uploaded online or at the One-Stop Permit Counter in the Fasi Municipal Building. Plans must be submitted prior to the final approval of plans.

Plan Requirements:
The Site Plan must show
- 1. Property lines clearly defined
- 2. All streets labeled.
- 3. All existing and new buildings on the property.
- 4. Buildings labeled as “Existing” or “New”.
- 5. The address of each building clearly identified.
- 6. Setbacks of the buildings from the property lines.
File Requirements:
Accepted file types: pdf (drawing must include a graphic scale) or dwg
Maximum File Size: 5 Mb
The site plans will be used to update data in the City's GIS system and identify the physical locations of addreses within the property. This information will aid emergency response agencies (Police, Fire, etc.) in locating their destinations more accurately.

| The City and County of Honolulu has updated the Honolulu Electrical Code (ROH Chapter 17) – to reference the 2008 National Electrical Code per Ordinance 09-029 and the Building Energy Conservation Code (ROH Chapter 32) – to reference the 2006 International Energy Efficiency Code. |
All applications filed after the effective date shall conform to these referenced codes.
