States Are Sending Out $500 Stimulus Checks Directly; When Will You Get Them?

Many governments roll out initiatives that will help people get through this economic storm. In a bid to slow the ever-increasing cost of living, stimulus checks shall be dispatched to low-income families. Although no two states run their programs similarly, most of the grants offered by these programs stand at $500 or above, which the social assistance and guaranteed income programs fund.
Alaska is uniquely Alaska. The APF is a permanent fund, created in 1976 and constitutionally mandated, which is managed by the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation.

The dividends from the fund are financed by revenues stemming from the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System, along with other revenue streams unique to the state.

For instance, up to $1,312 will be issued to the residents from the 2023 dividend. This year’s Permanent Fund Dividend application is set to close at the end of this year.

Payment will be made on July 18, 2024, for those whose status was “Eligible-Not Paid” as of July 10, 2024. The system will keep on doing like that until all the applicants apply.

Los Angeles

Some California communities have launched programs to help their citizens deal with the high cost of living. For example, on July 15, 150 people in Fresno County will start receiving $500 a month for a year as part of a Guaranteed Income program. The same case applies to Pomona, which is currently active, and more are on the way.

Lower Michigan

For stimulus payments, Ann Arbor does things a bit different. This July, the Guaranteed Income program will distribute $528 to about 100 businesses. Unlike most, focusing on families, this study evaluates different outcomes from those who have small enterprises.

Another New York city that has adopted a guaranteed income scheme in a bid to fight high and ever-increasing living expenses is Rochester. Payments of up to $500 a month will be continued for some residents throughout July. There will be a total of twelve months of this program.

Texas

The program has provided $500 a month in payments to select families in Texas for 18 months, allowing more than 2,000 families to benefit from the Uplift Harris program. Most importantly, it is going to achieve long-term benefits for people experiencing financial difficulties.

The capital city of the United States

Residents in Tacoma, Washington, will still receive their $500 stimulus checks in July, thanks to help from the Growing Resilience in Tacoma, or GRIT, project. That’s part of the larger plan for local families.
